At the noisiest of times, can the quietest kid save the day? Opposites attract in this sweet and funny friendship story from the author of Nugget & Fang .

Wyatt likes quiet. And being quiet works for Wyatt. He's the model visitor at museums, the perfect tree in the school play--and he's the absolute star of his ninja camp.

But when Wyatt is paired with noisy Noreen on a class field trip, his quiet world is shattered. She's a know-it-all, and just too loud! So loud, in fact, that she might unintentionally cause some alarming problems . . . Can Wyatt overcome his shyness and speak up in time to save the day?

Here is a charming, humorous tale about being true to yourself, accepting others for who they are, and stepping outside of your comfort zone for the sake of a friend.

Booklist Review: "A very quiet boy, Wyatt excels in his role as a tree in the school play and wins a trophy for being the stealthiest kid at ninja camp. On the other hand, when his class ventures into the wild for a field trip, he's dominated by his assigned partner, talkative Noreen. Reckless, overconfident, and oblivious to her surroundings, she turns canoeing into capsizing, and bird-watching into bird stalking. When her singing triggers an avalanche, Wyatt finally speaks: NOREEN! ROCKS! Meanwhile, using his impressive ninja skills, he saves her and wows his classmates. In the closing pages, Wyatt and Noreen are friends. While each child represents an extreme on the scale from loud to quiet, the story might lead into a discussion of when each quality is valued and when it's not. The short text, which includes plenty of dialogue, structures the narrative but leaves plenty of room for imaginative touches in Howard's large-scale illustrations, created with watercolor, gouache, and pencil. Finding humor in the juxtaposition of extremes, this picture book makes an amusing read-aloud choice.--Carolyn Phelan Copyright 2018 Booklist"
