The hilarious bears from Breaking News- Bear Alert return is this new adventure, treating carnival patrons to a wild ride.

When Mama and Papa Bear go looking for their missing cub, the whole family visits the town carnival. While there, the bears ride the Ferris wheel, rock the rollercoaster, and inadvertently foil another dastardly plot by the cat burglars from the inaugural book in this hilarious series. Covering the story is intrepid--but bumbling--reporter Chad Newsworthy and the rest of the crew at Channel 3 News.
Published Reviews
Booklist Review: "Like its predecessor, Breaking News: Bear Alert (2014), this entertainingly chaotic story is told as if it were a late-breaking television news broadcast. Involved is a bear cub, its parents, a crowded carnival, two escaped criminals, their feline accomplice, and the Channel 3 news team. In pursuit of their cub, the large bear couple cause mayhem as they wander into the carnival and inadvertently expose the crooks who are pickpocketing. The slickness and intensity of the brightly colored cartoon-style digital illustrations glow like a television screen and work well for the newscast format. The bubbled dialogue of the news team provides most of the text. In addition, a news ticker across the bottom of the screens (i.e., double-page spreads) gives the up-to-the-minute whereabouts of the bears as they proceed through the carnival, as well as other details about the unfolding story. Be ready for a repeat read (or two) to catch details that might slip by on the first pass.--Enos, Randall Copyright 2016 Booklist"
