Published Reviews
Booklist Review: "More than most of Marvel's titles, Agent of Asgard illustrates the kind of commitment required of libraries (and readers) pursuing ongoing collections. Relying as it does on foreknowledge of the character and the previous volume of this series, an intention to read the following volume, and involvement in events unfolding in no less than four other Marvel titles (primarily the miniseries Axis), the story almost defies a coherent synopsis. Its strength, however, lies in its characters and compelling themes, all of which are in satisfying evidence as, when his reputation comes home to roost, youthful Loki struggles to be a good friend and brother. Indeed, amid the tangled forest of continuity is the vital seed of a young man trying to overcome expectations and a future laid before him by others. Ewing taps into humor as effectively as he does sentiment, and Garbett and Coehlo deliver art that gracefully shifts tones from kingdoms to futuristic wastelands, from the emotionally intimate to the mythologically vast. It takes commitment, but invested readers, particularly teens, will find it rewarding.--Karp, Jesse Copyright 2015 Booklist"
