Summary
Back to the Swingin' '60s as DC Comics reimagines the classic Batman TV series in comics form. These all-new stories portray The Caped Crusader, The Boy Wonder and their fiendish rogues gallery just the way viewers remember them.

In this volume, one of Batman's deadliest foes-King Tut returns to Gotham City to assert his royal status and challenge the Dynamic Duo with his most far reaching plan yet to rule the modern Thebes known as Gotham City!

Collects issues #6-10.
Published Reviews
Booklist Review: "There's not much lighthearted fun in the superhero business these days as the comics and cinematic versions of these cultural stalwarts have staked ever-more portentous terrain. The antidote? Tap into the high camp of 1960s grooviest TV show: Batman. Founding the title on pure kitsch and nostalgia would have gotten old fast, but as volume 2 proves, Parker has the know-how to write clever, well-paced scripts that capture the tone without merely mimicking the source material. Mainly eschewing headliner villains for the likes of False Face, King Tut, and Bookworm is quite refreshing, and the square, overdramatic heroes are miles from the grit and grimness stalking the pages of the countless other Batman titles on the racks. A fine assemblage of artists, meanwhile, pay homage to the original's singularly camp aesthetic while opening up the television-sound-stage world and offering their own distinctive visions. For older readers it might get repetitive in large doses, but younger readers will blow right by the camp and eat up all the old-timey superhero goodness by the volume.--Karp, Jesse Copyright 2014 Booklist"
