Published Reviews
Booklist Review: "The exceptional photographs illustrating this large-format book make it an eye-catching choice for young children. Eszterhas, a wildlife photographer, presents a series of remarkably clear, intriguing, and occasionally amusing images of cheetah cubs growing up on the African plains. Early pictures show very young cubs chirping, nursing, or nestling by their mother's side, while in later ones, they follow their mother, climb over her, bite her tail, and play fight with their siblings. After two years, they are ready to live on their own, but this book focuses primarily on their early months. A paragraph of large-print type on each page or double-page spread offers information and observations related to the photos, while a More about Cheetahs page of fast facts is appended. Clean design and excellent reproduction create a fitting showcase for photos. This is the first of six volumes planned for the Eye on the Wild series.--Phelan, Carolyn Copyright 2010 Booklist"
