Booklist Review: "OK, so the photographs aren't much different than any you'd see in a slick bridal magazine. But what little girl hasn't wanted to be a flower girl? And who doesn't like to look at pictures of pretty brides and handsome grooms? Told in first person by an unnamed narrator, this book begins, All my friends have been flower girls . . . but me. A wistful girl on one page, the narrator turns into a little princess on the next. Her aunt Penny is getting married, and this time it's her turn to be a flower girl. The simple text discusses how a flower girl gets to wear flowers in her hair, carry a bouquet, and, of course, wear a beautiful dress. Kevin, the groom, and Henry, his ring bearer, are introduced. A bit of nervousness comes with the walk down the aisle, but after the ceremony comes dancing and cake. The words are really just in service to the glossy photos, which capture the inherent excitement of a wedding. A sweet treat, but one that will engender flower-girl envy in those still awaiting their turns.--Cooper, Ilene Copyright 2010 Booklist"
