Most of the recordings come from BBC broadcasts and many have not been published before. Highlights on this CD include: rare recordings of two early American winners of the Nobel Prize for Literature: Sinclair Lewis and Pearl Buck. It also features Arthur Miller talking about his marriage to Marilyn Monroe, and John Steinbeck talking about why he wrote The Grapes of Wrath .
