Summary
The missing: A young plainswoman raising her daughters in the desolate wilderness of New Mexico is aided by her estranged father when her daughter is snatched by a dark-hooded phantom with shape-shifting powers. The three burials of Melquiades Estrada: A veteran cowboy, living in a small Texas border town, hires and befriends Melquiades Estrada.
