Summary
Describes the last voyage of Christopher Columbus, undertaken beginning May 11, 1502, which ended with the loss of all four of his ships and left Columbus and his crew shipwrecked with little hope of survival, June 25, 1503. Historian Martin Dugard travels in the wake of the explorer, visiting the sites of Columbus' discoveries and disasters, such as Panama, Jamaica, and Hispaniola. Includes dramatic recreations.
