Summary
Readers travel in time with author Elaine Landau and her dog Max to the Pilgrim colony of Plymouth, Massachusetts. Times were hard at first, but with the help of Samoset and Squanto, two Wampanoag Indians, the colony is experienced by readers today. To show their thanks, the Pilgrims invited the Wampanoag Indians to a wonderful feast, and the first Thanksgiving was celebrated.
