Booklist Review: "Gr. 9-12. Developed by the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), which has been assisting students with educational world travel since 1947, this guide, originally pub~lished as The Teenager's Guide to Study, Travel, and Adventure Abroad, begins by spelling out the kinds of overseas experiences available, giving practical suggestions on making adjustments to a different culture, and covering such essentials of foreign travel as passports, customs, health, finances, and returning home. The second and longest part of the book is an extensive listing of programs organized into seven sections, including study abroad, language study, outdoor activities, work/volunteer, and homestays. Each section is a directory of pertinent organizations, providing information on such things as costs, sponsors, supervision, requirements, living arrangements, classes, and addresses and phone numbers for getting more specific information. Programs will be listed both by location and by type in the index. ~--Denise Perry Donavin"
